Jackie Fairweather has completed the 2008 Great North Run.

Jackie ran the race this year with one of her patients who had been suffering with back pain which had meant he had to give up running for the last few years. Since having acupuncture Jackie’s patient has managed to train on a regular basis and compete in many races. The week before the great north he did a personal best at the Macclesfield half marathon of 1hr 33mins. Jackie however, cannot run that fast so he slowed down to keep her company through the race. Jackie’s patient has found that with regular treatment he is able to maintain his body's fitness and continue to run.

 

Jackie Fairweather completed the 2008 Deva Diva triathlon.

Jackie feels that keeping fit and setting goals is all part of a healthy attitude to body, mind and spirit. She beat her time from last year and aims to do the same next year. The Deva Diva is a really fun women’s only triathlon, there is such a lovely atmosphere on the day and the Chester Triathlon club are so helpful. Any women who need a challenge should try it and they can also raise money for an excellent cause.
