Traditional Five Element Acupuncture in Wirral
about Jackie
Jackie Fairweather is a fully qualified and licensed acupuncturist. She currently runs her own practice in West Kirby where she has developed a large patient-base. She has successfully treated many conditions, ranging from women's health issues, pregnancy related conditions and fertility treatment to back pain, headaches, stress, depression and general well-being.
Jackie has an amazing energy which has captured her clients’ hearts as well as helped their progress to recovery. Many of her clients recommend her as a professional and caring practitioner to their own friends and colleagues:
‘Jackie’s continued support, both during and away from our sessions has increased my confidence and ability to become more positive’.
‘I was at an extremely emotional stage in my life where my confidence and self-esteem were at an all time low, with Jackie’s kindness and support, my confidence has increased where I have renewed my social life and am having some fun!’
‘Jackie was one of the most important stages to my recovery from a long-term illness. She is now a great friend!’
Jackie also continues to find time for her own treatment. She was first introduced to acupuncture after sustaining shoulder injuries in a car accident. The injuries became chronic and she was unable to continue in her career as a successful fitness instruction and personal trainer. She was in pain for most of her waking hours, which was both mentally and physically frustrating, as Jackie had regularly exercised since childhood. This is when she found Five Element Acupuncture to seek help to relieve the pain and regain movement from her injuries.
As a result of acupuncture she achieved freedom from pain and regained movement, also many emotional issues were addressed.
With the success of this treatment and her ongoing interest in fitness and health, Jackie trained as an acupuncturist and achieved her full qualification in May 2002. Her aim was to share the level of wellbeing that acupuncture can achieve, and the healthier outlook on life that can be benefited.
To ensure that she remains current, Jackie continues to augment her skills, and has completed the Zita West courses in acupuncture to aid fertility and health during pregnancy. In February 2009, she completed a Certificate in Facial Rejuvination Acupuncture. In addition, she regularly attends workshops and conferences in acupuncture and allied skills.
Jackie Fairweather is a member of The British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) and abides by the BAcC’s codes of ethics and safe practice. These cover strict requirements with regard to hygiene and the disposal of needles and other equipment. Only disposable single-use sterile needles are used.
All members of the BAcC are covered by a Medical Malpractice and Public Liability insurance.
With the help of acupuncture, Jackie is able to pursue her passion for health and fitness and regularly competes in half marathons and triathlons in such events as the Deva Divas and the Great North Run.
Jackie is delighted to announce that she has become a founding member of the recently launched Zita West Network for Reproductive Health, as an Affiliated Acupuncturist. Read more here

Acupuncture can be used to treat many physical conditions, including anxiety, allergies. hay fever, arthritis, rheumatism, back pain, sciatica, headaches and migraines, muscle tension and joint pains, tiredness and lack of energy, depression, asthma, ME, PMT, irregular periods, sinusitis, infertility, irritable bowel syndrome and stress. This list is by no means inclusive, so please do contact Jackie if you need help or guidance regarding your own personal problems. You can also benefit from acupuncture without suffering from a particular ailment, such as when you are feeling off colour or out of sorts, experiencing difficulties at work or unhappiness in a relationship. In these cases acupuncture can help you to cope better.
Acupuncturists treat the whole person and therefore don’t distinguish between physical complaints and emotional problems. This means the treatment of physical problems also affects the way you feel in yourself. As well as providing a greater sense of general well‑being and enhanced enjoyment of life, acupuncture can be an extremely effective and drug‑free form of pain relief. You will also find your immune system is better able to withstand flu’ and colds and, if you do fall ill, you tend to suffer less and recover more quickly. Many people use acupuncture as a form of preventative medicine.
